Saturday 18 + Sunday 19 February 10-3pm planting

Sunday 19 February 3-4pm celebration walk

You are invited to join us on 18 + 19 February 10-3pm to plant fruit trees, berries and hedgerow plants. We will be planting a range of fruit and nut trees; damsons, plums, quince, greengage, apricot, apple, pear, medlar as well as almond, sweet chestnut and walnut and some hedgerow nuts and berries – rosehip, blackthorn, hawthorn, cobnut and hazel.

All are welcome. Students, staff and local residents Equipment, tools and soup will be provided. Please wear suitable clothes and footwear for outdoor working.

On Sunday 19 February starting from The Shed, Car Park 5 we would like you to join us in marking the planting of the first route and the turning of the seasons with mulled cider and apple juice along the route which will lead us back to The Shed for a warming fire.

It would be very helpful if you could let us know which day(s) you are coming to plant. If you are just turning up on the day come to Car Park 5 where there will be a map indicating where we are. Please also let us know if you would like to perform, read or share something as part of the route celebration.
